When you find yourself saying: “I wish I knew how to scale up my health”. Pay attention!
There are several ways to scale up your health and it doesn’t mean you have to go to the gym every day. Once or twice can’t hurt, (okay, if your personal trainer gives you a workout that is epic it will certainly burn), but getting yourself off the couch and into action is the first step. Changing just little things like taking the stairs instead of the escalator in the shopping mall, going for a walk after diner. Maybe even getting a dog from a shelter or find a senior neighbor with a dog you can take for a walk.
Where is the love
Food has a different meaning to everybody, but it is important to look at your relationship with it. People tend to use food as comfort or replacement for genuine contact and love. I’ve just learned about a great TED Talk from Johann Hari who was hoping to find out why our ways to support an addict are no longer the way to go. As it turned out, the best way to help an addict is to be present in his or her life. In addition tell them over and over again that you love them, and most of all how you want to be there for them. Give them a job and not rehab.
Don’t get me wrong, not everybody has an issue with food or has an eating disorder. And I merely want to make you look at your relationship with it. Because, when you decide to choose the right ingredients for a meal and healthy snacks it doesn’t have to be so hard. Yes, if you eat to feel good try to find the reason you just cleared this bag of potato chips. Write down why you felt like eating and how it made you feel. This can give you so much insight in your own behavior. It will also help you making the right choices in the future. When you just eat and have no remorse about it don’t worry if this happens once or twice. Make sure this doesn’t becomes a habit, because it will lead to those extra unwanted pounds and have a negative affect on your health. Change your food, change your mood
Did you know that what you eat can change the way you feel. When you eat a lot of sugar this will affect your energy levels. They will peak upon intake but plummet twice as hard and makes your brain feel like it is ready to shut down the factory.
Furthermore the sugars take their toll on your brain, it can make it harder to learn and remember stuff. The fructose can interfere with feeling filled up after a meal. It can even hinder the repair of collagen and this will lead to premature wrinkling of the skin. Excess sugar is stored as fat. Your cells will pay the price. Because the regeneration of your cells will take longer. Does this mean you are not allowed to eat any sugar, NO! There are natural sugars in a lot of fruits and vegs. They will help you feel good if taken in the right amounts.

Than the snack would look very easy and appealing. And I found out that I would gain even more weight when I stopped this diet.
Next up squeezing in trips to the gym and reduce calories to under a 1000. Sounds logical but when you notice you have trouble getting up in the morning because of all the energy you have used the day before, things are not working right for you.
So what would be a way to better your health and get started
After trying all the things that did not work for me I found a system what works for me. It is easy to start and continue doing and it led me to the results I was looking for.
Plan your day. This sounds easy but when you plan your day and give yourself a treat every day you will be happy getting up and going because there is something to look forward to. Now the treat does not have to be something sweet or a present, but it can be scheduled time to take a bath with a nice book.
Start your day with a luke warm glass of water this will help your body to wake up and rehydrate.
Start your day with a happy song or set your alarm clock with your favorite song.
Now for long term success you need something that is easy to stick too, what shows quick results, let’s you do and eat the things you love without spending hours in the gym or starving.
